Who We Are
Healthcare needs a better rhythm: one that keeps care continuous and deeply human. Heidi is building an AI Care Partner that works alongside clinicians to make that possible.
We’re a team of doctors, engineers, designers, researchers, and creatives building tools that help clinicians stay focused on what matters most: their patients.
In just 18 months, Heidi has given back more than 18 million hours to healthcare professionals — supporting 73 million patient visits in 116 countries. Today, more than two million patient visits each week are powered by Heidi worldwide.
Backed by nearly $100 million in funding, we’re growing in the US, UK, Canada, and Europe, partnering with leading health systems including the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Monash Health.
The Role
Heidi is building a world-class Finance function to support rapidly expanding global operations. We're looking for a seasoned, proven Accounts Receivable Lead - someone who has been in the trenches, built teams from scratch, designed AR infrastructure under pressure, and knows how to push back on the status quo when better ways exist.
Reporting to Finance leadership, you'll own the full Order-to-Cash cycle across multiple entities and regions. This is not a coordinator role or a step up from analyst. We need someone who has already done this - and done it well - and is ready to do it again with higher stakes and a faster pace.
What you’ll do
Order-to-Cash Operations
Own the end-to-end O2C cycle across all Heidi entities: invoicing, collections, cash application, customer reconciliations, and dispute resolution.
Serve as the final escalation point for complex billing and collection issues - resolving them with speed, professionalism, and a sharp eye for protecting customer relationships without compromising cash recovery.
Lead month-end and year-end close activities, delivering timely reconciliations and accurate AR reporting that Finance leadership can rely on.
Team Building & Leadership
Build, hire, and develop a high-performing team of AR Analysts - setting standards, creating accountability, and fostering a culture where people grow fast and own their outcomes.
Design and run training programmes that upskill the team and systematically reduce key-person risk.
Champion a culture of excellence raising the bar and every team member is supported to do their best work.
Process Design & Continuous Improvement
Build the AR playbook from the ground up: policies, SOPs, internal controls, escalation frameworks - all documented, enforced, and regularly stress-tested.
Proactively question existing workflows. Identify areas that don't make sense- and bring a better solution.
Identify automation and tooling opportunities; partner with IT, FinOps, and Engineering to eliminate manual effort and build AR infrastructure that scales.
Analytics & Reporting
Monitor AR health obsessively: aging buckets, DSO, collection rates, dispute trends, and cash forecasting signals.
Deliver reporting to leadership that doesn't just describe what happened — it explains why and recommends what to do next.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Partner tightly with Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, Legal, and Engineering to resolve contract issues, improve billing accuracy, and remove friction from the customer experience.
Support internal and external audits with clean documentation and credible analysis.
What we’re looking for
Experience:7+ years of progressive AR experience, including at least 4 years running and developing a team. You've built a function, not just maintained one.
Builder mentality:You've designed AR systems and SOPs from scratch - not inherited them. You know what good looks like because you've built it.
Technical depth:Strong command of IFRS/GAAP, financial reporting, and the mechanics of AR across multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
Systems fluency:Proficiency with ERP systems and AR automation tooling.
Proactive problem-solving:You spot problems before they're escalated to you. You investigate, form a view, and bring solutions - not just observations.
What Will Set You Apart
You've managed AR across a multi-product, multi-pricing-model portfolio - SaaS, usage-based, bundled - and understand the revenue recognition implications of each.
You're comfortable in ambiguity. You can take messy, incomplete information, make a sound call, and move - without needing perfect data or a fully defined process.
You've respectfully challenged the status quo when you believed the approach was wrong and you had the credibility and clarity to make your case land.
You've operated across time zones, managed distributed teams, and kept standards high regardless of geography.
You understand that speed matters. You've worked in fast-moving environments and know how to distinguish urgency from noise.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent professional qualification is a strong advantage.
7+ years in Accounts Receivable, with 4+ years in a leadership role managing teams and owning process design.
Demonstrated track record in high-growth, fast-paced environments - startup or scale-up experience highly valued.
Exceptional written and verbal communication in English; able to engage with senior stakeholders and external customers with equal confidence.
