  • Lead new product development for data center water-cooled chillers
    Based on the company’s product strategy and market requirements, lead the development of next-generation water-cooled chiller products, including project initiation, concept design, engineering development, prototype validation, testing, certification, and mass production introduction. 
  • Develop and execute product development plans
    Define reasonable product development timelines, phase objectives, resource plans, and key milestones to ensure projects are delivered within agreed targets for quality, cost, performance, and schedule. 
  • Lead cross-functional R&D teams
    Manage engineering teams across mechanical design, refrigeration systems, electrical systems, controls, and testing. Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, service, and marketing teams to drive efficient project execution. 
  • Lead key technical reviews and decision-making
    Organize and participate in technical reviews covering compressors, heat exchangers, water systems, refrigeration circuits, control logic, energy efficiency optimization, and reliability design to ensure the product is competitive and manufacturable. 
  • Establish and improve the product development process
    Drive the implementation of DFMEA, design reviews, prototype testing, reliability validation, issue closure, BOM cost control, and design standardization to improve R&D efficiency and product maturity. 
  • Be accountable for product performance and quality
    Focus on unit efficiency, stability, reliability, noise level, control accuracy, serviceability, and suitability for data center applications to ensure the product meets customer and industry requirements. 
  • Support mass production and market launch
    Work with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve technical issues during trial production and mass production. Support key customer projects, technical discussions, product training, and field issue analysis. 
  • Build and develop the R&D team
    Set team objectives, develop talent, manage performance, and strengthen technical capabilities to improve the team’s overall ability in chiller product development, system design, and engineering delivery.
  • Work experience
    Minimum 8 years of R&D experience in HVAC, refrigeration equipment, or industrial equipment, including at least 5 years of R&D team management or new product development project management experience.
    Experience in data center chillers, water-cooled chillers, large central air-conditioning systems, precision cooling, or industrial refrigeration equipment is preferred. 
  • Technical expertise
    Strong understanding of water-cooled chiller system architecture and key components, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, expansion devices, water systems, electrical control systems, and control strategies.
    Strong capability in refrigeration system design, thermodynamic calculation, performance optimization, reliability validation, and technical problem solving. 
  • Project management capability
    Proven experience in complete new product development projects, from requirement definition, concept design, prototype development, and testing validation to mass production introduction.
    Ability to break down development tasks, identify project risks, and coordinate cross-functional resources to resolve issues. 
  • Team leadership capability
    Strong team leadership skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to complete complex product development projects.
    Ability to drive project progress under schedule pressure, technical uncertainty, and resource constraints. 
  • Quality and engineering mindset
    Familiar with R&D management methods such as DFMEA, design review, reliability testing, issue closure, design standardization, and cost optimization.
    Strong engineering judgment with the ability to balance performance, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and delivery schedule. 
  • Industry understanding
    Familiar with data center cooling applications and customer requirements, including high reliability, high efficiency, continuous operation, fast delivery, and ease of field maintenance.
    Knowledge of data center cooling systems, chilled water systems, cooling water systems, BMS communication, and energy-saving control strategies is preferred. 
  • Communication skills
    Strong cross-functional communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, quality, sales, and service teams.
