About the team
The Enablement team translates OpenAI’s product innovation into real-world customer impact by equipping customer-facing teams with the knowledge, tools, and frameworks needed to succeed in their roles.
About the role
OpenAI is hiring a GTM Onboarding Lead to design and scale the onboarding system for our rapidly growing go-to-market organization.
In 2026, OpenAI plans to onboard a high volume of customer-facing employees globally across roles including Sales, Technical Success, Partnerships, and Customer Success. While foundational onboarding programs exist today, this role will define and evolve the 0–90 day onboarding architecture that prepares new hires to succeed quickly with customers.
The GTM Onboarding Lead will own the design, instrumentation, and continuous improvement of onboarding across all customer-facing roles. You will establish the learning pathways, readiness milestones, and measurement frameworks that define how new hires ramp across the organization.
This role will also manage a small team of onboarding program managers and facilitators who execute onboarding cohorts and deliver training. You will focus on designing the system, while the team operationalizes and delivers it.
Success in this role means onboarding becomes a durable readiness engine for the GTM organization—helping new hires develop product knowledge, AI fluency, and customer engagement skills within their first 90 days.
In this role, you will:
Design or refine the 0–90 day onboarding framework across all GTM customer-facing roles
Define learning pathways, readiness milestones, and certification checkpoints
Establish ramp metrics and instrumentation to measure onboarding effectiveness

Ensure onboarding programs scale effectively with rapid hiring growth
Partner with Sales leadership, Product teams, Recruiting, and RevOps to align onboarding with GTM priorities
Translate product updates, messaging changes, and field feedback into onboarding improvements
Implement AI-assisted workflows and tools to modernize onboarding delivery and operations
Continuously evolve the onboarding experience based on hiring patterns, product innovation, and field feedback
You'll thrive in this role if you:
