System Software Engineer – Design Verification

NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated system software engineer with a strong bias toward security design verification, infrastructure, and quality to join the GPU Software team in Pune, Maharashtra. In this role, you will design and build tests, harnesses, automation frameworks and services that enable secure GPU feature development at scale. You'll partner closely with engineers worldwide to verify the security hardness of critical components in the GPU chain-of-trust, confidential computing, etc. You will also be tasked with designing innovative harnesses to allow testing of difficult to reach components, as well as designing and maintaining automation for continuous testing. 

What your responsibilities will include:  

  • Develop and implement security design verification strategy, tests, harness, automation for features and primitives on our GPUs 

  • Collaborate with a world-class team to understand product security requirements and feature designs. 

  • Lead continuous improvement of our test posture 

  • Ensure regression coverage to prevent security vulnerabilities 

What we need to see: 

  • A Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 

  • 4+ years of proven experience in low level system software design verification and validation, preferably within the semiconductor industry. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a track record of delivering world-class results. 

  • Experience of developing and deploying test plans based on system software requirements and design. 

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C (required), C++, Python, or similar. 

  • Proven experience with code coverage analysis, negative testing, unit testing and other security DV techniques. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding system software security concepts.  

  • Comfortable using AI tools for development and testing. 

Ways to stand out from the crowd: 

  • Experience with fuzzing, pen testing etc. 

  • Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks (UTF or similar), fuzzing frameworks (AFL, libFuzzer or similar), static analysis (Coverity or similar), code coverage (gcov, VectorCAST or similar) 

  • Strong understanding of hardware security, cryptography, secure boot and secure coding practices 

  • Understanding of CVE/CVSS with practical examples and mitigation strategies
