Are you interested in video encoding as well as innovative hardware and software technologies? Do you want to start a career in automated testing or data analysis? NVIDIA is looking for a dedicated and highly motivated Performance Engineer Intern to join the Hyperscale Video team. We at NVIDIA work at the edge of creativity of computing and engineering, pushing the boundaries for video encoding and streaming technology. What you will be doing:

  • Run video Encode/Decode performance, encoding efficiency and power tests through a custom-made automated test system.

  • Analyze large amounts of data and compose detailed reports for internal requesters.

  • Improve existing and develop new tools for the Hyperscale automated benchmarking system.

What we need to see:

  • Pursuing BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting and programming languages.

  • Familiarity with both Linux and Windows operating systems.

  • Experience capability to work with a lot of data.

Ways to stand out of a crowd:

  • Past internship experience in a related position.

  • Experience in manual or automated testing.

  • Background with FFMPEG, hardware and software video or audio codecs.

  • Solid grasp of math and statistical analysis.

Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay based on the position, your location, year in school, degree, and experience. The hourly rate for our interns is 29 CAD - 53 CAD.

You will also be eligible for Intern benefits.
