What you'll be doing
As a dynamic and experienced Facilities Manager, you will lead the operational excellence of our Bangalore office and building. This role is central to creating a safe, efficient, and inspiring workplace that supports productivity, collaboration, and well-being. You'll oversee all aspects of office and building management, ensuring compliance with India Health & Safety regulations and alignment with our Integrated Management System (IMS). Working closely with internal teams, stake-holders, you'll deliver a seamless employee experience while driving improvements in vendor management, space planning, sustainability, and emergency preparedness.
You'll be someone with a warm, outgoing, and customer service-oriented personality, who brings outstanding communication skills, strong leadership, and the confidence to manage a high-performing Business Services team. You'll play a key role in shaping a workplace culture that reflects our values and supports our people.
Other responsibilities include:
- Lead the practical and logistical aspects of a new office Setup, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external contractors
- Should be familiar with Documentation Processes of an SEZ Unit while importing goods and should maintain all the records of all the imported/Local Purchased, Duty Paid & Duty Exempted bonded Goods. Should follow the industry’s best practice of Asset Management
- Should work with an authorized Insurance Broking Firm and coordinate with IT & Finance to help Graphcore to procure all relevant Insurance Coverage for Fire & Allied Perils for Assets & Premises; coverage for any other undefined liability that can be covered under Commercial General Liability Policy; Third Party Insurance; Coverage under Workmen’s Compensation Act; Coverage under Officers & Directors Liability Policy etc., if the Global Umbrella Policies can’t cover Indian Assets and other Liabilities as per any specific RBI Regulations.
- Own and enable delivery of the Bangalore office fit-out project. Grow connections to interpret and develop requirements and enable successful completion.
- Ensure the facilities operating model, team structure and external partner services are aligned to efficiently run the new office. Ensure suitable out-of-hours and emergency support is maintained
- Demonstrate outstanding leadership, aligned to Graphcore Core Beliefs. Act as a role-model, ambassador, and advocate within Graphcore and with external partners and supplier
- Be part of and a contributor to the Global Workplace & Facilities team and our strategy as well as to collaborate with People, IT, teams to support smooth onboarding and daily operations.
- Manage facilities budget, reporting, and performance metrics, ensuring transparency and alignment with strategic goals.
- Lead and oversee all maintenance activities through a proactive Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) approach, ensuring that building upkeep, repairs, and improvements are scheduled, tracked, to ensure that all operational decisions reflect compliance and continuous improvement, rather than reactive fixes.
- Build and maintain positive and productive engagement with our building Landlords and their management teams to ensure timely and proactive support where needed.
- All operational decisions and procedures must reflect and support the IMS framework.
What you'll bring
You'll have demonstrable experience gained from performing similar Facilities management roles within technology business. It goes without saying that you'll be highly organized and dedicated to delivering a 5-star customer service. As well as the above, you'll also bring the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing teams and coordinating external contractors and service providers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently across all levels of the organization
- A strong customer service mindset, committed to creating a welcoming, efficient, and high-performing workplace experience.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word),
