About This Role

We're seeking a Director of Global Physical Security to build and lead Crusoe's corporate and enterprise physical security function. This is a foundational role responsible for defining the global strategy, governance framework, and operating model that protect people, assets, and infrastructure across corporate offices, manufacturing sites, power generation facilities, and active construction projects. You will also serve as the enterprise governance authority for physical security standards, ensuring alignment and consistency across all facility types, including data centers.

As the owner of corporate physical security and the enterprise governance framework, you'll set the policies and standards that all site-level teams align to, while directly operating security programs for corporate and manufacturing environments. This role partners closely with the Data Center Physical Security function to ensure a unified security posture as Crusoe rapidly scales across geographies, facility types, and threat profiles.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Defining and executing a risk-based global physical security and safety strategy

  • Establishing enterprise-wide governance, including security policies, standards, procedures, compliance requirements, and KPIs

  • Designing and operating security programs for corporate offices, power generation facilities, and manufacturing facilities (access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, visitor management, mail/package screening)

  • Partnering with construction and real estate teams to embed security into facility design, construction, and commissioning

  • Establishing the enterprise physical security governance framework, including standards and compliance controls aligned with SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001/27002, NIST 800-53, PCI-DSS, and customer requirements, that the Data Center Physical Security function executes against for data center operations

  • Partnering with GRC, Security, and Workplace team to ensure year-round secure operations and compliance readiness

  • Establishing and operating enterprise security technology and a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) for 24/7 monitoring, alerting, and response across corporate and manufacturing sites, with defined escalation and coordination protocols for data center security operations

  • Leading executive protection, travel security, workplace violence prevention, and geopolitical risk monitoring programs

  • Owning physical security incident response, escalation, investigation, and after-action reporting for corporate environments, and coordinating cross-site incident protocols with DC security leadership

  • Contributing to enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery planning from a physical security perspective

  • Driving convergence between physical and logical security in partnership with Information Security and IT

  • Serving as the enterprise physical security governance partner and ensuring consistent standards, shared threat intelligence, and unified reporting across all facility types

  • Building the corporate physical security organization from the ground up, including org design, hiring, vendor management, and contract security oversight

  • Presenting security posture, risk exposure, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, auditors, customers, and regulators

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • 10+ years of experience in physical security and safety management, with 5+ years in leadership roles overseeing global or multi-site programs

  • Expertise in physical security technologies (ACS, VSS, IDS) and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53)

  • Strong background in risk assessment, threat analysis, crisis management, executive protection, travel security, and business continuity

  • Proven ability to build and scale security organizations in high-growth environments

  • Experience integrating security into facility design, construction, and commissioning processes

  • Executive-level communication skills with the ability to articulate risk, strategy, and ROI to senior leaders and external stakeholders

Bonus Points

  • CPP, PSP, or equivalent ASIS certification

  • Prior experience in military, law enforcement, or intelligence with corporate security leadership experience

  • Background in technology, hyperscale data centers, power generation, energy, or infrastructure sectors

  • Strong professional network across law enforcement, intelligence, and security industry peers

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in security management, criminal justice, business administration, or a related field
